Larry E Vaughn Jr

Lawrence Eugene (Larry) Vaughn Jr is a Hannibal, Missouri native who grew up in the shadows of Mark Twain, the Mississippi river, and annual downtown flooding. He attended Hannibal schools through his junior year at Hannibal High School, completing his senior year at Louisiana (MO) High School.

Larry entered the radio and television industry straight out of high school, and found a deep interest in crafting commercials that engaged the audience. He later found a general interest in writing autobiographical materials.

This blog started out many years ago as simple documentation for his oldest granddaughter who asked, “What was it like to live back then?” That blossomed into its present form when it was decided to discard paper photos and articles, and record them as digital records.

There are three volumes of information here, beginning with the histories of ancestors in Volume 1, my wife Lea’s parents and direct ancestors, and my own, are recorded in Volume 2, and records of other family members who served our country in the military services, and those who notably served the public in their careers are noted in Volume 3.
